Steve Hogan, President:
Steve Hogan is President of Capital West National Bank and has over 26 years of banking experience. He received his BBA from University of Texas-Arlington, his MBA from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business, and his Graduate Banking Degree from CU-Boulder. Steve is married to Cynthia and has two children; Chase, who is a 7th grader at Kinnard and Erinn, a 3rd grader at Zach Elementary. Steve's commitment to Colorado charity and service organizations have included: Board President for the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, Board Member for Junior Achievement, Chair of the Independent Bankers of Colorado High School Scholarship Committee, Board Member for the B.A.B.Y. Foundation, Member of the Foothills Rotary Club, Board Member for the Federal Home Loan Bank, and Volunteer Referee and Coach for the Fort Collins Soccer Association.
Tom Formica, Vice President of Commercial Loans:
Tom Formica had previously been with Equitable Savings and Loan as a Construction Loan Officer for 5 years. Prior to specializing in construction lending he was an Investment Advisor for area businesses like Ameriprise Financial Services, First National Bank, Norlarco Credit Union and Kemper Securities in Fort Collins, as well as US Bank in Wyoming for 15 years.
Curt Bear, Senior Vice President, Senior Lending Officer:
Curt Bear has been in banking for 9 years, beginning with Community First National Bank in North Dakota – where he was born and raised and earned a BA in Economics at North Dakota State University in Fargo. After moving to Fort Collins in 1999, Curt worked for Community First in Fort Collins and later Bank of Colorado in Windsor as an Assistant Vice President, before moving to Colorado Springs in 2004. There, he worked for Bank of Colorado and later Adams Bank and Trust as a Vice President. Curt moved back to Fort Collins to join the Capital West team in 2007. Curt’s wife, Jill, is a social worker employed by The Mathew’s House in Fort Collins – a non-profit organization which focuses on teaching life skills to young persons leaving foster care and/or juvenile detention situations. Curt and Jill enjoy all kinds of outdoor recreation, including camping, hiking, skiing, rock climbing, and riding motorcycles. Curt has been and continues to be involved with many charities and service organizations, including United Way of Larimer, Weld, and El Paso Counties, Partners of Larimer and Weld Counties, Kiwanis Club of Windsor, Sertoma Clubs in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, Hope and Home in Colorado Springs (Jill’s previous non-profit employer) and local churches in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins.
Sandi Zitek, Branch Operations Officer:
Sandi Zitek is a native of Fort Collins. Sandi has worked in every aspect of operations from teller to proof operator, and has brought that knowledge to management through sound audit procedures. Sandi joined Capital West during its construction allowing her a first name relationship with everyone at Capital West. When Sandi is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, dogs and horses.
